For the storyboard, we were randomly assigned a music genre with 4 songs to choose from. My group chose the (pop) song "We Are Young," which correlates with our band name w3areyoung. The song and the band name have the same name because it's their first song. By doing this, more people will recognize the up-and-coming band's name. Creating the storyboard was difficult because most of us were disagreeing on what each scene should be; we all were trying to overpower the conversation and couldn't agree on anything. This was similar to basically everything else in our project, especially the presentation. For example, creating our website. We created a promotion website for the band, but couldn't choose the color scheme or what we even wanted the website to say. We eventually picked the black and blue color scheme and finally published the website after creating it for about a week.
Our biggest setback for the project overall was agreeing on any of our topics. We are all pretty hard-headed and want our ideas used and only our ideas. We aren't great at letting up and following what other group members say. Currently were are filming our music video and we are running into the same issues. Some of us want to keep our same ideas from the storyboard, and others want to veer off of it and create new ideas. We're also having difficulty agreeing on the mise-en-scene elements of the outfit choice and the setting. Overall, we are all powerful group members who want to be leaders. Once we finish the video, we will begin editing on Adobe Premiere Pro, to change the lighting and add in other special effects. And finally, once we're done with that we'll finish putting together our pitch via PowerPoint and begin practicing our presentation skills.
